New version, new documentation

A new version for anylease!

Our #leasing #platform received a new #version upgrade last week. This was the opportunity to deploy a specific online training session for one of our customers. Nothing very strange you might think. Well, it is! Because good old principles are being lost, and we're trying to keep them alive.

For us, it's important not to forget the 3 pillars of #change management for any project: documentation + training + communication, and to get users involved. Not forgetting, of course, to guarantee good support.

Our customer didn't need us to explain what #LLD is. He's a major player in his field. On the other hand, even if we do claim to know the subject, the deployment of a new solution is obviously an important moment for their teams.

A digital solution? Yes, but documented

To follow the online training that we proposed to him we relied on a documentation especially written and decorated with the same ingredients as those which we like to use namely:

- a reminder of the structure of the doc that we were going to use during the course of the cession
- a reminder of the modifications and the evolutions compared to the last version
- an application of the discussed items.

This support was given to him in advance of our training session.

At the end of the training session, we announced the next developments and their provisional schedule.

Indispensable?

Some would say the approach is outdated. We remain convinced that it is indispensable. Firstly, to facilitate our #review and #non-regression tests (you know, to make sure that new features haven't broken the previous ones that worked so well).

Secondly, because all training is subject to the inevitable unlearning curve. This irremediable phenomenon means that the more time goes by, the more we lose what we've learned, and to reduce the steepness of this curve, good support remains indispensable. Especially if you don't forget to take notes.

Of course, the involvement of our users remains key, as does our ability to listen to their experience (Test U) in order to further improve our platform.
