LLD according to Emile Zola

We've missed out on a lot!

We've been missing out on a lot lately.

We've seen nothing in recent months. We really haven't! Summer, autumn, Christmas, nada!

And the traditional New Year's greetings? Completely forgotten. Not a word.

We have to tell you that the whole year has been dedicated to the development of anylease. 1973 code submissions, 4 versions to take us even further towards the #SaaS #cloud solution for the #leasing, #LLD, #LMD of your dreams. And the further we go, the more we're called upon to see how we can interface our software solution, which we wanted to be resolutely open to other solutions (product catalogs, electronic signature, scoring, maintenance histories, depreciation tables, CRM, etc.).

And to round it all off, a very interesting consultancy assignment with a major energy company (some of whose members will recognize themselves) in transition to full service leasing.

Rereading Zola

Fortunately, there's always the train. To finish the various subjects to be dealt with, or better still, to escape and rediscover some old books. Reread Zola and the Rougon-Maquart. But what else could he have written about LLD?

Long-term rentala practice that is spreading like wildfire through the bustling streets of Paris and Marseille, is the new phenomenon to explore today. In cities where progress and modernity mingle with the vestiges of a glorious past, this mode of consumption is emerging as a symbol of our times, reflecting the aspirations and constraints of contemporary society.

In working-class neighborhoods and upmarket districts alike, the horse-drawn carriages of yesteryear have given way to steam-powered cars and then to automobiles, marvels of technology that fascinate as much as they frighten. But if the acquisition of such a machine remains difficult for the majority, long-term leasing appears to be an attractive alternative, a bright solution in the darkness of financial financing needs.

This system, which makes a new vehicle available for a fixed period in return for a monthly rental payment, is the fruit of the ingenuity of a few entrepreneurs who were able to assess the arithmetical components of financing usageIt's the answer to society's changing needs. Indeed, long-term leasing meets the aspirations of an increasingly mobile population. mobileeager for freedom and comfort, but constrained by the precarious variability of their own needs.

So our streets are filled with these cars rentedsilent witnesses to their drivers' hopes of accessing other forms of mobility governed by the same laws of leasing ; motorcycle, bicycle, scooter or draisienne.
Today renting a golden coupé, tomorrow a cargo bike, later a toy van, they are symbols of a changing society, where the traditional markers of ownership are fading away, gradually giving way to
use.

But beyond appearances, isn't long-term leasing is it not also an indicator of new expectations. The desire to enjoy a property rather than own it, and in the future to be able to access another as easily as we like, one that's quicker to respond to new perspectives. And all of this, oh miracle, without extra cost or waste, as the asset that is no longer rented is given a new life as a refurbished or re-rented equipment.

In this fast-changing Paris, where horse-drawn carriages rub shoulders with new forms of mobility and where Haussmann buildings stand side by side with modern constructions, location retains an ambiguous dimension, at once hopeful and revealing of the tensions that bedevil this model. Does the lessor have best information systems to offer its customers the best solutions, both in terms of price and flexibility? Does it use anylease ?
